Dr. Liming Bao became the Weill Cornell Medicine and NYP/WC Director of Cytogenetics on October 1, 2022. Dr. Bao joins us from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where he is a professor of pathology at the Colorado University School of Medicine. He is board-certificated in clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics.

Dr. Benjamin Kleaveland, an assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, has been awarded a five-year, $2.1 million grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) of the National Institutes of Health to investigate how cells regulate noncoding RNAs, molecules that are thought to have major roles in health and disease.
