The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medicine offers a two-year clinical chemistry fellowship that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Clinical Chemistry (ComACC). This fellowship program is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the field, providing an all-encompassing training experience that covers every facet of clinical chemistry.
Prerequisites
- Candidate must possess an earned doctoral degree (Ph.D., MD) from an accredited institution. Applicants with degrees awarded by institutions outside the U.S. or Canada must, at their expense, have their credentials evaluated by acceptable agencies.
- Individuals with doctoral degrees in clinical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, molecular biology, toxicology, pharmacology, physiology, genetics, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
- Grades in relevant courses and overall average during graduate studies (min B+).
- The applicant should have successfully completed a sufficient number of chemistry courses to apply for the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, i.e. a minimum of 30 semester hours (or equivalent) in undergraduate and/or graduate level chemistry or biochemistry courses take at institutions acceptable to the Board.
- The applicant should provide breakdown of credits for all undergraduate and graduate chemistry and biochemistry courses with grade equivalents.
- The applicant must demonstrate the ability for independent research and scholarly activity.

The program selection committee will review applications.
