Head and Neck/Endocrine Pathology

The Division of Endocrine Pathology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine provides expert analysis of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal specimens, complex head and neck tissue specimens, and salivary gland tumors. Our pathologists facilitate the diagnosis of neoplastic and benign head/neck and endocrine diseases.

We offer testing for human papillomavirus (HPV) in squamous cell carcinomas, BRAF testing for thyroid cancers, and immunohistochemistry and other standard pathological services. Our pathologists collaborate closely with clinicians who specialize in head and neck surgery and in endocrinology.

The head and neck pathologists at Weill Cornell are also committed to teaching, and provide instruction to pathology, head and neck, and endocrinology residents and to medical students. They are also involved in research to investigate the molecular profiles of thyroid and salivary gland cancers.
