Tutorial on Neoplastic Hematopathology

The Tutorial on Neoplastic Hematopathology is designed to update physicians on the latest advances in Neoplastic Hematopathology. It will be conducted under the direction of Daniel M. Knowles, MD at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL from January 23-27, 2017. The program will consist of lectures, case presentations and discussions designed to provide pathologists, pathologists-in-training and medical oncologists/hematologists with an in-depth discussion of diagnostic problems that arise in neoplastic hematopathology. In addition to discussions of recent advances in the morphologic classification of hematopoietic tumors, the application and interpretation of immunological and cytochemical studies and molecular techniques in the diagnosis and classification of these diseases will be presented. The Tutorial faculty will prepare an extensive Notebook comprised of lecture notes and reference citations covering all of the topics presented at the Tutorial. The Tutorial notebook and canvas carry bag will be distributed to participants at the Tutorial during the registration period.

Tutorial on Neoplastic Hematopathology

The Tutorial consists of five days of lectures, case presentations and discussions. It will be held at the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay, 1633 North Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33132, United States Phone: (305) 374-3900;  http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/miabb-miami-marriott-biscayne-bay

Tuition

The registration fee is $1,350, which includes the Tutorial, online course materials, daily continental breakfasts, coffee breaks and a reception. The fee does not include travel, housing or other meals. Registration post-marked after December 30, 2016 is $1,450.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. When paying by check, it must be in U.S. currency and drawn on a U.S. Bank, made payable to the WCMC/Pathology Dept. International participants can contact us directly for our wire transfer information. When registering, please be sure to use a complete mailing address. The address with which you register will be printed on the master list of registrants.

Course Materials

The course materials include a Tutorial notebook containing all slide presentations. For your convenience, all course materials containing the presenters' slide presentations, handouts, references, and supplementary articles will also be available for download online prior to the course. Additionally, you may opt to view the materials online during the course using your electronic device. WiFi will be provided in the ballroom at no additional charge.

Confirmation/ Seating

A written confirmation will be sent to all registrants. Early registration is recommended. Seating at the program is on a first come first serve basis and will be assigned based on registration date. The seat assigned remains yours throughout the course.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation, the Tutorial fee is refundable less a $150 service charge. A front and back copy of your cancelled check must be submitted for a refund. After January 5, 2017, no refunds will be possible and no exceptions of any kind can be honored.

Continuing Medical Education

Weill Cornell Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Weill Cornell Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 36.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification

The American Board of Pathology has approved the Tutorial as a Self-Assessment Module (SAM) for Part II of the ABP Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program and designates this educational activity for a maximum of 20 SAM Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Transportation

Miami International Airport (MIA) is 7.5 miles away with approximately a $26 cab ride to the hotel. The Miami Shuttle van is $15. Reservation is required and they can be reached at 786-873-7304. Fort Lauderdale International Airport is 25 miles away with approximately a $90 cab ride to the hotel.

Rental cars can be arranged at the airport, as well as the Hotel through the Concierge. Limousine service, valet and self-parking are also available through the hotel.

Other

A continental-style breakfast will be available from 7 a.m. in the foyer outside the Grand Ballroom where the Tutorial sessions will be held. The use of cell phones or video/audio recording during the lectures is prohibited.

Accommodations

Accommodations have been reserved for Tutorial participants at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. Note that a one-night deposit is required. Participants may make reservations online or call 305-374-3900 to make reservations. Advise the reservations desk that you will be attending the Tutorial on Neoplastic Hematopathology from January 23-27, 2017 in order to receive the Cornell group rate. A confirmation number will be immediately assigned. The special daily rate for this meeting is $265/night (single/double). Reservations made after December 30, 2016 will be accepted on a space-available basis and rooms will not be available at the discounted group rate. Please make your reservations early!
