Molecular Pathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking an M.D. and/or Ph.D. molecular pathologist for its Molecular Genomic Pathology division. The applicant must have a serious commitment to clinical service, as he/she will be part of the team responsible for case sign-out on a busy molecular diagnostic service, including test development and implementation. Applicants with an interest in molecular oncology and molecular virology/bacteriology are encouraged to apply. The applicant will have opportunities to develop a translational research program and participate in the training and education of pathology residents and fellows in molecular pathology. Numerous opportunities exist for collaborative research with pathologists and basic scientists in the Department and throughout the medical center.

Candidates with molecular pathology fellowship training and prior experience in molecular diagnostics and a record of research accomplishments will be given preference. Candidates must have or be eligible for: New York State full licensure, American Board Certification in Molecular Pathology and New York State Certificate of Qualification. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and scholarly accomplishments. An excellent benefits package is included.
